A Group of senior persons of Kolkata getting concerned with poverty, illiteracy, anemia, malnutrition and population growth, created the Kolkata Empowerment Foundation (KEF) in 2012 for working in the underprivileged areas. They decided to act upon by designing projects to be implemented in extremely poor areas of West Bengal.
